Making a sponge cake
Preparation
We start off by placing a cake tin on some greaseproof paper.
Drawing around this in pencil yields an circular outline on the paper large enough to place in the base of the tin.
Next we grease the inside of the tin with margarine. This will prevent the cake from sticking to the sides of the tin later.
Once this is done we place the circular piece of paper in the tin and grease it with margarine in the same way.
